FIFA 14 Ultimate Team mode detailed
EA Sports has released the first details for Ultimate Team in upcoming FIFA 14, revealing a new layer of depth for team selection.
The publisher is hoping to build on one of the most popular modes in gaming by adding new chemistry styles.
This means that your players now have a few roles that they can play in a team, and changing them will affect the chemistry rating with teammates.
For example the chemistry between a full-back and a winger will rise if the full-back has been given the role of making overlapping runs and the winger is told to help defend.
Searching for new players has also been touched upon, with the option to look for new recruits by typing their names straight into the search box instead of scrolling through a list of names.
The user interface of the whole mode has been improved to look slightly cleaner and easier to navigate, with big white panels giving you the option of what to do next.
Meanwhile the online single game match has returned, so that players can try out new signings and tactics without going into an important league or cup game first.
As usual there will also be the option to manage your team away from your gaming system on mobile devices using the official app.
EA Sports also revealed that FIFA 13's Ultimate Team was the most popular mode in the game, with 3.4million matches taking place daily at its peak.
FIFA 14 launches in September and we'll be bringing you much more on the game, including a hands-on preview, very soon.
