EA Sports and Barcelona partner up for FIFA 14

EA Sports has announced a three-year deal with Barcelona to become the club's exclusive and official video game partner.

The deal means that 3D head scans of 17 Barcelona superstars - such as Andrés Iniesta, Xavi and Cesc Fabregas - will be used in FIFA 14.

Barcelona's ground, the Camp Nou, will also become a featured stadium.

"Joining a world class football club like Barcelona as an Official Club Partner is a fantastic opportunity for EA Sports and our fans," said EA Sports senior vice president Matt Bilbey.

"We will create a deeper connection with their passionate, global fan base, and use our games as a platform to engage supporters all around the world for years to come."

The Barcelona team will also take part in a FIFA 14 tournament to find the best player in the squad.

Barcelona are the latest in a long line of clubs to become partners with EA Sports, including Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, PSG and AC Milan.
