Volition unsure of what's next for Saints Row
Volition isn't sure what's next for the Saints Row franchise, according to senior producer Jim Boon.
Work on the fourth game in the series has just finished, and Boon claims that the studio hasn't had time to sit down and think about what's to come.
He even hinted that Volition could take a break from creating Saints Row games to do something else.
"Only God knows!" Boon told ArabicGamers when asked about the future of Saints Row.
"I always feel invasive but honestly we're at the point where we're finishing Saints Row 4 up now so we haven't really had a chance to even think long and hard about what's next, and is it even Saints Row?
"Especially now with Deep Silver, it's a new process for us in terms of figuring out how you come out with new ideas and what the process is."
Boon also commented on the humour in Saints Row 4, saying that players testing the game just "die laughing" at some of the over the top moments.
"We're bringing people in and we're testing how the controls are working and how things are happening, but the benefit of that is that we're also sitting around watching and just seeing people lose their minds laughing at things.
"And that's what this series is all about. It's entertaining but doing it in a very humourous way where we're not taking ourselves seriously at all."
