Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer has female soldiers

Activision has revealed the first details for the multiplayer part of Call of Duty: Ghosts, and female soldiers will be involved for the first time in the franchise.

During the multiplayer reveal yesterday a trailer closed off with a shot of a female character holding a gun.

Players will get to customise their characters much the same way as previous games, including looks and loudouts, but this time the option to play as a female will also be available.

Apparently the female option took so long to come to Call of Duty because of the engine and memory size, but now that's been sorted and more customisation choices are offered.

Female characters will also be the same size as men and play exactly the same as male characters so that gameplay remains fair.
