Xbox One delayed in several European countries
Microsoft has announced that the launch of the Xbox One will be delayed across several countries in Europe.
Initially the plan was to launch the console in 21 countries by the end of the year, but now that figure has been cut down to 13.
This means that Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland all miss out for 2013.
"We want to ensure our customers get the best Xbox One experience the first day it is available," read a Microsoft statement.
"In order to meet initial demand and deliver the best product and experience for consumers, we are narrowing our November launch from 21 countries to 13."
The 13 countries getting an Xbox One in 2013 are the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Austria.
As a consolation, consumers who pre-ordered an Xbox One in the delayed countries will receive a pack-in game with their console when it finally arrives.
