PES 2014 won't have rain or Spanish stadiums
Konami has revealed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 won't feature rainy weather or Spanish stadiums.
Rain has apparently been left out due to the whole game being built from the ground up using the new Fox Engine.
PES community manager Adam Bhatti said that adding rain was easy, but changing how it affects gameplay was the hard part.
"This includes the pitch becoming slippery, ball bouncing, some elements to make the team used to that climate somewhat more power in terms of balance," claimed Bhatti on the Winning Eleven Blog.
Spanish stadiums and the stadium editor have also been removed thanks to EA signing licensing deals with the major clubs and leagues.
This means major European stadiums can't be included in PES 2014, including no Spanish ones.
"People were getting worried when [EA] announced exclusive deals with Spanish teams," he added. "Well it turned out it meant we couldn't implement their stadium, amongst others."
However the game should come with around 20 stadiums.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 launches 20 September on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and we'll have a hands-on preview up very soon.
