Microsoft will carry on supporting the Xbox 360 for "another three years", while "over 100 new games" are coming to the console in that time.
Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi revealed the news when speaking at the Citi Global Technology Conference yesterday [via VideoGamer].
"If you look at 360, that platform lasted for 7-8 years and it's going to last for another three years.
"It's incredibly profitable now in the tail."
The 100 new games include titles such as Fable Anniversary and Project Spark.
Xbox One goes on sale in several markets this November.
