FIFA dev: Competition like PES is good

Having competition is a good thing that allows the FIFA franchise to thrive, according to lead producer David Rutter.

Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA have been going head-to-head for years, with FIFA usually being the game that comes out on top.

Rutter said that PES, along with games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, are all competition but it's a good thing to have.

"I obviously played the last Pro Evolution Soccer, I haven't had a chance to check out this new one that's just coming out," he told ArabicGamers.

"For us obviously we keep an eye on all our competition, it's not just Pro Evolution Soccer.

"It's as much about Battlefield, Madden, UFC and Call of Duty - all the games that are out there and highly rated.

"But for us it's still the same team making FIFA. We're dedicated, hard working, we love the innovation, we love the sport and we want to do the best we can, and having competition really does help us keep that going."
