Diablo 3 demo hits Xbox 360 and PS3

Blizzard has confirmed that a playable demo of Diablo 3 is now available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

It's a free download, although Xbox users will need a Gold subscription, and it's a sizeable 1.2GB.

The demo allows players to test out a part of Act 1 playing as a Wizard or Barbarian.

There's also co-op gameplay with other people playing the demo and a level nine cap.

Should players decide to jump into the full game after playing the demo then all progress will be carried over.
