Battlefield 4 open beta starts next month

EA has announced that the Battlefield 4 open beta will start 1 October on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Those that pre-ordered the shooter have early access to the open beta but EA is yet to confirm when that will be.

The publisher also revealed next-generation release dates for some of its biggest titles.

FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Madden 25 will launch 21 November on Xbox One and 29 November for PlayStation 4.

That makes all three games next-gen launch titles on both consoles.
