Xbox One not designed to stand vertically

Microsoft has warned users from standing the Xbox One console up vertically.
Apparently doing so could damage the console as it hasn't been designed for vertical orientation.
"We don't support vertical orientation, do it at your own risk," Microsoft's Albert Penello told GameSpot.
"It wouldn't be a cooling problem, we just didn't design the drive for vertical.
"Because it's a slot loading drive, we just didn't design it for both."
Interestingly the PlayStation 3 also has a slot loading drive but it does have support for vertical orientation.
Penello added that 80% of Xbox 360 users had their console lying horizontally so it shouldn't affect that many players.
