FIFA 14 has day one update

EA Sports has confirmed that FIFA 14 will require a day one update to play.

Users will be greeted with a download prompt upon starting the game, and it will fix several issues such as the effectiveness of headers and finesse shots.

The accuracy of lofted through-balls has also been looked at, while the update will improve stability in online games.

EA also claimed that it is aware of some games freezing during matches.

"We continue to investigate these reports internally, and with out partners, and will update the community when we know more," said a statement.

FIFA 14 launches 27 September.
