First images of Homefront 2 surface

The first images of Homefront 2 have surfaced online.
The shots were found by VG247, who claim that the work in progress images were taken from a promotional handout.
The images suggest that Homefront 2 will be set in New York, as a building that appears to be the Empire State Building features in the background.
The first game was set in San Francisco and had players attempting to reclaim the city from the Korean People's Army.
Earlier this year Crytek purchased the Homefront IP from THQ following the company's bankruptcy.
