The Crew not arriving before April 2014

Open world racer The Crew won't be arriving before April 2014, Ubisoft confirmed earlier.

The game was originally scheduled for release in Q1 2014, but now it's been pushed back to add further development time.

"We are building franchises that will become perennial pillars of Ubisoft's financial performance," said Ubisoft co-founder Yves Guillemot.

"In a context of growing successes for our mega-blockbusters, the additional time given to the development of our titles will allow them to fulfil their huge ambitions and thus offer players even more exceptional experiences.

"Fuelled by strong momentum for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, calendar 2014 will see the return of growth to the console market."

Earlier today Ubisoft also confirmed that Watch Dogs would also see a delay until 2014.
