COD: Ghosts is 720p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4
Infinity Ward has confirmed the resolutions for the next-generation versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
The Xbox One version will run natively at 720p, while the PlayStation 4 version runs natively at 1080p.
Executive producer Mark Rubin also claimed that the Xbox One version has been "upscaled" from 720p to 1080p.
"Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven't had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we're 1080p upscaled from 720p," he wrote on Twitter. "And, we're native 1080p on PS4.
"We optimised each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can't wait for next week's launch."
Infinity Ward had previously hoped that the Xbox One version would output at 1080p, and this will come as a blow to Microsoft as players continue to compare the specifications of both consoles.
