PlayStation Now users will have to buy PS3 titles again

Sony has confirmed that players will have to purchase PlayStation 3 titles again if they want to stream them over PlayStation Now.

The PlayStation Now service was announced yesterday, allowing players to stream Sony games across a range of different devices, such as PS4s and Bravia TVs.

However Sony's John Koller claimed that PS3 discs wouldn't be able to unlock games to stream.

"We... uh, initially, no," he told CVG when asked about the feature. "So, we're saying no to that right now."

Koller also said that the feature isn't being investigated, which suggests it's something that may never happen.

PlayStation Now users will have to rent individual games or subscribe to the service to be able to stream titles.
