The Order: 1886 won't have multiplayer

PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 won't feature any multiplayer elements, according to Ready at Dawn co-founder Andrea Pessino.

The third-person shooter is one of the biggest titles of the year heading to Sony's new console, but it looks like players will be taking on the challenge solo.

Pessino was responding to questions on Twitter when he revealed the details.

"No multiplayer," he said, "it is a single player, third person action adventure game."

Some people even questioned whether this meant The Order: 1886 would be worth full price.

"Better to do one thing well than a whole bunch half-assed," was Pessino's reply. "We are trying to make a SP experience you will enjoy."

The Order: 1886 doesn't currently have a release date, but it is expected to launch before the end of the year.
