2014 FIFA World Cup game heading to 360/PS3

EA Sports will be releasing a 2014 FIFA World Cup game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but not on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

It's going to be a standalone product so you won't need a copy of FIFA 14 to play, and there'll be gameplay improvements such as new animations and superior passing.

There are 203 officially licensed national teams, 7469 players, 19 managers and 21 new stadiums, including all 12 Brazilian stadiums from the upcoming World Cup.

It'll launch 17 April, but EA is saying that Xbox One and PS4 versions aren't planned because the older consoles are where the biggest audience is.

However there will be World Cup content added to FIFA Ultimate Team for next-gen players, and that will be detailed soon.
