Xbox One gets price-cut, bundled with Titanfall

Microsoft has announced an Xbox One price cut, with the console and a copy of Titanfall being bundled together for £399 GBP.

The bundle will be available from 28 February in the UK and US, and one month of Xbox Live Gold membership will also be included.

Previously players had to pay up £429 GBP if they wanted to get their hands on an Xbox One.

"This is about us offering the best value we can," said Xbox UK managing director Harvey Eagle. "The release of Titanfall is a great moment to do this.

"It's a game that has won more than 80 awards so far. It's hugely anticipated.

"The multiplayer beta was played and enjoyed by millions of gamers around the world. And we feel now is the best time to adjust the price and to include Titanfall moving forward as a promotional offer."

So far the Xbox One is being outsold around the world by the PlayStation 4, which is the much cheaper console.

Microsoft is hoping that the launch of Titanfall will help the Xbox One catch up with the PS4 and boost sales.
