Developing a videogame for both current and next-generation consoles is an "interesting challenge", according to Murdered: Soul Suspect developer Eric Struder.

The upcoming murder mystery title from Airtight Games will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year, alongside PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Struder claims that working across all the platforms provides some difficult moments that the team has to be aware of.

"It's an interesting challenge," he told ArabicGamers. "All the SKUs have different things that you have to watch out for.

"So you do need to make sure that you take advantage of those platform's strengths, and you make sure that you're developing exactly the right systems for those platforms.

"There's a lot of management involved if you want to know the truth, not just from a technical standpoint but from keeping track of what you're doing on what platform, and making sure that you build the game right for each one."
