Watch Dogs finally gets new release date

Watch Dogs has finally been given a new release date of 27 May for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

The date comes from a leaked trailer on Xbox.com, which wasn't supposed to go live until later today.

The open-world Watch Dogs was originally scheduled for launch in November 2013, but was delayed so that Ubisoft could add some polish to the game.

The publisher hopes that Watch Dogs will be something that shows what next-generation gaming can be.

The Wii U and PC versions will arrive at a later date.
