World of Tanks on Xbox 360 getting 'Map Madness' event
A 'Map Madness' event for World of Tanks on the Xbox 360 has been revealed, where new maps are unlocked after a certain amount of cumulative kills.
A new map will go live if the game's community can destroy a set number of tanks between 18 March and 24 March.
If 10 million tanks are destroyed during that period then the Lakeville map will be unlocked, a "deeply strategic location where the careful use of buildings and cover become the ultimate key to team success".
25 million tank kills will open up El-Halluf, a desert-based map that "provides a plethora of key strategic ambush spots for careful players".
Finally, 40 million destroyed tanks would see Prokhorovka opening up, a battle arena from the PC version of the game that happens to be popular with eSports players.
World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition launched last month and is free-to-play.
