Xbox One April update will bring friend notifications

Details of April's Xbox One update have appeared online, pointing to online friend notifications and improved video quality for game capturing.

The information was posted in a private preview program area of the official Xbox forums, before being reposted in NeoGAF.

50Hz Blu-ray playback will apparently be fixed, Kinect will continue to be tweaked and there'll be a game save progress bar added to show you the status of your saved games.

Finally, there will be an update to Xbox One device management to fix issues with controlling TVs and set top boxes.

Microsoft has yet to announce the update, which would be the third major one since the console's release.
