Sony reveals virtual reality headset Project Morpheus
Sony has officially revealed a virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 4 called Project Morpheus.
It's a device that you can wear on your head and it works with the PS4 camera to give players a virtual reality experience.
It also supports PlayStation Move, so games could end up recreating first-person combat and other scenarios.
The current prototype supports 1080p and 3D audio with a 5-inch LCD display, but Sony has said the specifications may change before launch.
"At SCE we view innovation as an opportunity to build on our mission to push the boundaries of play," said Sony's Shuhei Yoshida.
"Project Morpheus is the latest example of innovation from SCE, and we're looking forward to its continued development and the games that will be created as development kits get into the hands of content creators."
Supported games for Project Morpheus have yet to be announced but Crytek and Gears of War creator Epic Games are both on board.
A release date for the hardware hasn't been given, but expect it sometime in 2015.
