First footage of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives

First video footage of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released, showing off the superhero's web-swinging activities.

The video is taken from the Xbox 360 version of the game, and you can see Spider-Man making his way across parts of Manhattan.

The game's combat system is also revealed, which appears to place a greater emphasis on countering and dodging attacks compared to the previous iteration.

Apparently the game map has been "greatly expanded" for the sequel, so players will have much more freedom to explore.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in May for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii U and 3DS.
