Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 on PC to be "completely different"

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 on PC will be "completely different" to the recently announced mobile version, according to Atari executive Anthony Chien.

The fourth main entry in the series was revealed last week for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch as a game with microtransactions.

A PC version is also set for release later in the year, and Chien claims it will offer a much different experience.

"We can't share that much, but [PC] will definitely be a completely different game" Chien told Digital Spy.

"There's a lot of diehard RC fans that want a PC experience, they want all different sorts of things. It's trying to deliver as much as we can.

"First is the mobile version, then it's the PC experience. I think a lot of people are vocal about wanting to see the PC version first before the mobile, but our strategy is mobile first."

The mobile version adopts the free-to-play model but won't actually be free, as it will be pre-loaded with in-game currency.
