DriveClub development goes from "strength to strength"

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has stated that the development of DriveClub is going "from strength to strength".

There had been worries about the game's progress following a long delay and layoffs at Evolution Studios, where the racer is being built.

However Sony insists there is nothing to worry about, and the PlayStation 4 will soon have a top racing game in its library.

"We have full confidence that the game will deliver on its PS4 promise to be the first truly socially connected racing title and we are very pleased and excited by the calibre of work from Evolution Studios," Sony said in a statement to Videogamer.

"The progress being made on the game is spectacular so we're looking forward to sharing an update on development, release date and video of the game in action in the weeks to come."

DriveClub was initially supposed to launch as a PlayStation 4 launch title last year.
