Sony Online's new free to play shooter announced
Sony Online Entertainment has announced Bullet Run, a new free-to-play shooter which will be released on PC and focused on persistent multiplayer gameplay and customisation.
The game will be a first-person shooter and puts the players in a reality TV show, named Bullet Run, and contestants have to showcase their death-dealing talent to an insatiable audience.
Set in the near future, Bullet Run players will need to do more than just kill their opponent for fame, they'll have to do it in style and with attitude, and it is a battle to the death.
The game's currency is fame, and the more fame you gain, the more customisation options you'll have available to you. Obviously, as it's a TV show, your appearance is also vital, so you'll have to make sure you look the part as well.
Don't worry if you're character dies though, as you'll have access to "Synth" technology which allows you to respawn and re-incarnate into a new body.
The game promises to have a variety of different fighting environments and claim " the sexier, media-driven storyline sets it apart from other FPS games and will continue to attract new players who might be tired of the same military shooters,” said Frank Trigub, Founding Partner, ACONY.
“While our games portfolio continues to grow across many different genres of online gaming, the addition of Bullet Run brings an entirely new level of entertainment to the gameplay experience for both the free-to-play community and fans of first-person shooters,” said Christopher Sturr of Sony Online Entertainment.
