XCOM FPS to come late 2013

Take Two has announced that XCOM, the spin-off FPS, will be released in the financial year of 2013/2014 after a financial call last night.

There has been no reason given for the delay.

In other news, the publisher announced yesterday that XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be released in October. Just to be clear, this is a different game.

The company's revenue is down $34m USD this quarter to what it was this time last year it was revealed in the call. And with BioShock being pushed back too, it seems though we can expect a more focused year this year.

So, in short; Take Two's late titles are the XCOM FPS and BioShock: Infinite.

“We have a fantastic lineup of upcoming releases for the balance of the year and the strongest development pipeline in the company’s history,” said CEO and chairman Strauss Zelnick.

Take Two also said that NBA 2K13 will also be released on 2 October.
