EA Sports UFC includes Bruce Lee, release date leaked

A promotional poster has revealed that EA Sports UFC will launch 17 June, and it'll include Bruce Lee as a pre-order bonus.

'The father of Mixed Martial Arts' can also be unlocked once players beat the career mode on pro difficulty or higher.

Lee will be able to compete in four different weight classes: Flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight and Lightweight.

Creative director for EA Sports UFC Brian Hayes was excited to talk of Lee's addition to the roster.

"You have the premier organization in the fastest growing sport in the world, the UFC; and the most iconic martial artist in the history of the world, Bruce Lee – a martial artist renowned for his philosophies that laid the groundwork for modern mixed martial arts," he said.

"I can’t conceive of a universe where bringing these two things together doesn’t make sense. I know there are going to be countless fans that feel the exact same way and they will be eager play with such a legend in the UFC Octagon. I am one of them."

This is the first UFC game since EA signed a deal to take control of the series from THQ back in 2012.
