Xbox One April update rolling out today
Microsoft is rolling out the latest system update for the Xbox One today, and there are a bunch of new details on what it brings.
One such new feature is friend notifications, so now Xbox One players will be notified when a friend comes online, similar to the way the Xbox 360 works.
The friends list will also show which friends are playing multiplayer games, making it easier to jump in with them.
There's also been an improvement to the quality of gameplay footage captured through the console's GameDVR, while the Games & Apps interface has been enhanced so users can see which games have been updated recently.
Helpfully the April update adds the option of downloading future updates while the Xbox One is in standby, so there's no need to manually update anymore.
