Watch Dogs competitive multiplayer modes detailed
Ubisoft has released fresh details for the competitive multiplayer modes found in next month's Watch Dogs.
The open-world game will include online Team Deatchmatch for up to eight players, and an Online Decryption mode where two teams compete to get their hands on a data file.
Players will use hacking skills from the game's single-player campaign to wirelessly defuse enemy grenades, trap them on automated suspension bridges and more.
These multiplayer matches will be set in locked-off sections of the single-player world, but Ubisoft is saying a Free Roam mode will also be featured.
There's also tablet vs. console mode, where a player controls a helicopter on a tablet map screen and earns points for keeping the console player in their sights.
The tablet player can then spend their earned points on hacks for the world, such as traffic light changes or the deployment of police cars, while the console player is tasked with completing a race course.
Ubisoft has also put together a nine-minute clip of multiplayer in Watch Dogs, so you can see it working for yourself below.
Watch Dogs is gearing up for a 27 May release on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A Wii U launch will follow later in the year.
