Dead Rising 3 sells 1.2 million copies

Capcom has revealed that Xbox One launch title Dead Rising 3 has now sold 1.2 million copies.

The numbers were revealed during the publisher's financial report for the year ending 31 March, showing that the zombie game was well received amongst players.

However Capcom's biggest title for the year was Monster Hunter 4, selling 4.1 million copies since September 2013 in Japan alone.

Monster Hunter 4 will be hitting other regions early next year.

Overall game sales increased 8.6% for Capcom this year to 102 billion yen, while profit rose 15.9% to 3.4 billion yen.

For its next financial year Capcom is aiming to improve its smartphone business and online-focused games on PC and other platforms.
