Forza Horizon 2 announced

Microsoft has officially revealed Forza Horizon 2, coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the end of the year.

Development is being handled primarily by Playground Games - the team behind the first installment - but Forza Motorsport 5 studio Turn 10 is also helping out.

There'll be hundreds of cars, including the 2015 Lamborghini Huracàn, and it's set in Southern Europe with "incredible diversity" and "amazing vistas".

Music will play a big part again as there'll be another festival for the game to be based around, and a weather system will also make an appearance for the first time in a Forza title.

The Drivatar system from Forza 5 is also being adapted for Horizon 2.

Expect to hear much more on Forza Horizon 2 in the build-up to E3.
