Sunset Overdrive has 8-player co-op, 28 October release

Insomniac has confirmed that Sunset Overdrive will feature 8-player co-op and launch 28 October.
The news was revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference just now by studio founder and CEO Ted Price.
Sunset Overdrive is an Xbox One exclusive arriving later this year.
