Assassin's Creed Unity has "redesigned core experience"

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed Unity will have a completely "redesigned core experience".

The latest game in the franchise takes place in France during the revolution, where "blood is being spilled on every corner".

A gameplay demo was shown off live at Ubisoft's E3 conference, showing the player walking through an angry crowd and trying to track down a target to kill.

He then comes across several guards, dispatches them and heads into a building to kill his first target. Before long he ends up assassinating the key guard during an execution.

Not many details were given about how the game will differ from previous ones, but visually it looks a lot more spectacular than ever.

Assassin's Creed Unity is launching at the end of the year.
