"New project" for Halo universe in the works

343 Industries is developing a "new project" in the Halo universe, according to a recent job listing.

This could be referring to a spin-off similar to games like Halo: Spartan Assault or Halo Wars.

It isn't clear whether this will be a mobile or triple-A title, with Microsoft only saying the game will "hit the quality expected of a title within the Halo franchise".

The next Halo release comes at the end of the year in the form of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
