Murdered: Soul Suspect studio closes

Murdered: Soul Suspect developer Airtight Games has announced its closure.

Reports had been circulating since the start of the week over the alleged shutdown of the studio, and now the official Twitter account has confirmed the news.

"Thanks to all of the fans, family, friends and colleagues who supported us and made the last 10 years possible," said Airtight.

Airtight laid off 14 staff members back in April as part of what president Jim Deal claimed was "necessary restructuring".

"This restructuring is part of the normal ebb and flow of game production," he said. "Existing projects are on schedule and Airtight Games is actively seeking partners for exciting upcoming projects."

It seems that is no longer the case, however, and Airtight closes its doors permanently just a month after releasing the polarising Murdered: Soul Suspect.
