2K games has given Civilization: Beyond Earth a release date of 24 October.

Beyond Earth is a futuristic entry in the series, where you lead your people on an expedition to find a home away from Earth.

Expect to explore different planets, form colonies and eventually go on to build a brand new civilisation in space.

Pre-ordering the game gives you the Exoplanets Map Pack, featuring six custom maps all inspired by real-life exoplanets.
