Battleborn revealed by Borderlands studio

Gearbox Software has announced Battleborn, a new first-person shooter heading to Xbox One, PS4 and PC next year.

The Borderlands creator is describing Battleborn as a "next-gen hero-shooter" that combines elements of a MOBA and an FPS.

There'll be 5 vs. 5 multiplayer action with fast-paced gameplay and strategic elements.

"If Borderlands 2 is a shooter-looter, Battleborn is a hero-shooter," said Gearbox president Randy Pitchford.

"As a genre-fused, hobby-grade, co-operative and competitive FPS exploding with eye-popping style and an imaginative universe, Battleborn is the most ambitious video game that Gearbox has ever created."
