Tony Hawk studio closes, eyeball effigy burns
Language »
Neversoft, the studio behind the popular Tony Hawk's titles, has closed down after 20 years of game development.
A large effigy of its logo - an eyeball on a stick - was set fire to commemorate the event, while each employee was also given a Bowie knife.
All Neversoft staff are now moving on to join Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward, who they helped previously on Call of Duty Ghosts, to create a big super-studio,
Neversoft is best known for the Tony Hawk's series of games, and between 1999 and 2007 there was a new Tony Hawk's released every year.
In 2007 Neversoft also went on to pick up the Guitar Hero license, which it worked on until 2010.
