Titanfall adding an in-game currency
Respawn Entertainment is adding an in-game currency to popular shooter Titanfall.
This currency - called Credits - will allow players to purchase new insignias and Burn Cards for use in multiplayer matches.
You can collect Credits by completing matches, winning matches, gaining the first victory of the day, completing Daily Challenges and selling Burn Cards.
A percentage of XP earned will also be converted into Credits when players reach the level 50 cap.
Respawn has also moved to assure fans that an in-game currency doesn't mean microtransactions will be implemented.
"With the introduction of an in-game currency, some may worry that the next step is that we will let players spend real-world money to get an edge in the game," said the developer.
"We have stated several times that Titanfall will not have microtransactions. Fear not, for we plan to keep that promise - NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! The only way to get Credits is by playing the game!"
The second DLC pack for Titanfall is called Frontier's Edge, introducing three new maps and coming next week.
