Xbox One system updates to keep rolling in
Microsoft will continue to update and improve the Xbox One all the way through to October at least, according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer.
Since the console's release last year, Microsoft has issued monthly system updates that radically alter and enhance the Xbox One experience.
Those changes have fixed issues with the party system, friend features and achievements, while there are plenty more planned.
"We've worked through the feature list through October," wrote Spencer on Twitter.
"[Monthly updates] will continue and features look good."
The August update for the console will update the social Activity Feed to make it more like Facebook, and there'll be an added option to remotely purchase content.
Load and install times are also a huge focus for Spencer, although specific plans to improve them haven't been announced yet.
Sales of the Xbox One doubled in the United States last month after it was made available without the Kinect hardware.
However overall sale figures still lag behind the PlayStation 4, which has shifted approximately 9 million units so far.
