"Majority" of DriveClub players can now get online, says studio
Evolution Studios has claimed that the "majority" of DriveClub players should now be able to make a connection to the game's servers to play online.
The studio was surprised by the number of people attempting to play the racer at launch and as a result the servers couldn't handle the load.
This led to a "one in, one out" policy where players had to wait for somebody else to disconnect before they could login, but that issue should be resolved now.
"We're still improving server performance to get all of you enjoying full online connectivity together, but the majority of Driveclub players should now be able to connect and play online," wrote Evolution in a Facebook post.
"More server updates and upgrades are coming online over the weekend, so while this work continues you may still experience some issues with connectivity but please keep trying.
"When you do get connected you can go online, play for your club, use your club cars, play multiplayer races, compete in face-offs, and compare your best times and scores with everyone on the leaderboards."
However there's still no word on the PS Plus Edition of DriveClub, or when it will be available.
