GTA V gets first-person mode on PS4, Xbox One and PC
Grand Theft Auto 5 will come with a first-person mode on the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions.
A first-person mode has long been rumoured but Rockstar has only just confirmed the news, which will give players a totally different way of playing GTA.
"We've always been in interested in [a first-person mode], but it's never really been an option for us,” said animation director Rob Nelson.
"I don't think we could’ve put it in the [last-gen version] because we were too busy making the game. We were too busy working on our third-person controls and the missions.
"I just think it's a different way of experiencing the world. It’s a different perspective. You're eye-level, down with the people on the street, and as you walk past them, you see them sort of look at you out of the corner of their eye. All of this stuff existed in the game before – lots of little details."
The entire game will be playable in the first-person, and you can check out a trailer below to see just what it looks like.
GTA V launches on PS4 and Xbox One on 18 November, while the PC version arrives 27 January, 2015.
