DayZ will launch early 2016 on PC
A Steam blog from DayZ development team “in association with Bohemia Interactive” has announced the completion of the first year’s Early Access development and has outlined the schedule for development for 2015.
The developers also said that the plans may change over time, but the team had reviewed what they’d achieved and were happy to discuss a “roadmap based on our experience with the project for the upcoming year”.
The schedule can been studied below the break.
DayZ is set in a post-Soviet state where a virus has mutated the population to violent zombies and your aim is, of course, to survive.
The game was born from a mod idea, and has been in development since 2012. The game is due to be released on the PS4 as well as the PC, no further platforms have been announced at this time, and it’s not clear if it will have a simultaneous launch on the aforementioned platforms.
The game will sell €27.99 EUR or $34.99 USD for version 1.0 release, with the final versions selling for €39.99 EUR or the $49.99 USD equivalent.
