Xbox Japan head to step down
Language »
Japan’s head of Xbox, Takashi Sensui, is to step down on today after failing to satisfy Microsoft’s expectations to gain more of the market share in Japan.
Sensui had admitted earlier in the year that Microsoft weren’t happy with the sales figures, especially as the 360 had sold more on the first three days than the XBO had done in a year.
Sensui will remain a Microsoft employee and head up the Interactive Entertainment Business at the Redmond HQ according to Famitsu.
Taking his place will be Yoshinami Takahashi the Consumer and Partner Group general manager, and Nobuyoshi Yokoi, head of the Consumer and Partner Group retail business. They will share the role and hope to make some significant sale figures in the coming months.
