FIFA turns gamers to fans in US of A

EA has claimed that FIFA franchise is one of the reasons football is becoming more popular in the US.
According to a blog post on the official EA news site, 34 per cent of Americans who’d played FIFA, but weren’t fans of the beautiful game, became fans as a result of playing FIFA.
An infographic, shown below, sites the US as the second most successful sales region for the game with over 293 million FIFA matches played in one year.
The report also claims that, as a result of a rise of popularity, US teams are becoming more recognised by the American audience, and the MLS league is gaining supporters instead of the traditional interest in English and European leagues.
