Wolfenstein: The Old Blood announced
Bethesda has announced Wolfenstein: The Old Blood to be released in May.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will be developed by MachineGames for the PS4 and PC, and digital only for the Xbox One.
A full trailer for the upcoming release is below.
This will be a standalone prequel to the critically acclaimed first person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order.
The prequel takes us back prior to the events of Wolfenstein: The New Order, where B.J. Blazkowicz has to invade the castle of Wolfenstein in order to tip the war in favor of the Allies and prevent the Nazis from winning WW2.
You can expect a two part mission offering; Blazkowicz is deep within the Bavaria, Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood -Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves and part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist messes with strange artefacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.
“Diving back into the world of Wolfenstein has really been fun for us,” said Jerk Gustafsson, executive producer at MachineGames.
“We’ve enjoyed exploring the events leading up to The New Order. We think fans will really enjoy the story, all the action and, of course, jumping back into the combat with new weapons.”
