Arabic is the third largest language on the internet, but so little of the world's content has been localised.  This is no different for games.

So why then do both Arab developers and publishers tend to give little importance to making a game in an Arabic?

ArabicGamers asked, Lara Noujaim, the marketing manager at the Lebanese-based studio Game Cooks, why their games aren't always localised into Arabic.

Noujaim said:"Most of our games have little content in them, that's why we typically keep it in English. Yet, we do localise important details such as the app store details and descriptions.

"Although we have developed games with all of its content in Arabic, the most recent being Haram Al Maarifa, a 100% Arabic trivia game."

When ArabicGamers asked Noujaim and Samer Abbas, one of the co-founders of the Jordanian-based game publisher, Play3arabi about the reasons, both said they adopt this strategy to reach to a wider global audience.

"This is really up to the developer, they need to make a decision at the early development stages, whether their product is going to be regional or global." Said Abbas.
